Access Machinery Training

Access Machinery can be dangerous and can cause accidents leading to personal injuries as well as structural and equipment damage.Regulations state that all personnel who work with or near certain types of Access Equipment must be trained and licenced. There are always risks involved when working at heights, the most common being a fall or ejection from the lift so to ensure the safety of both the operator and surrounding crew, specialised safety training and certification is required to operate Access Machinery.

Why come to Pronto for training?

Something that we pride ourselves on at Pronto Access is to enable our end users become experts in handling and operating their machinery. We believe that is important that operators have all the necessary skills and learnings to get the best performance out of their equipment.

What Training Does Pronto Offer

The EWPA Yellow Card

The EWPA Yellow Card came into effect on 1 July 2013. The new course is nationally recognised training and provides detailed training on the safe use of elevating work platforms.
The training is broken into 5 modules:

  • (SL) Scissor Lift
  • (VL) Vertical Lift
  • (BL) Boom Lift
  • (TL) Trailer Lift
  • (TM) Truck Mount

Yellow Card training is tailored specifically to the equipment you are being trained in and operate. For example to obtain a Yellow Card for scissor lift and boom lift you must complete not only these modules in the theory raining but also must operate both units in the practical section.

The course provides duty of care training to help you to comply with the Workplace Health & Safety Act 2011. It assists you to provide a safer working environment for all employees and contractors, which helps you to avoid accidents on your worksite and damage to your equipment.

In NSW a High Risk License is NOT required to operate a Telehandler with a fork attachment regardless of lifting capacity. However PCBU requirements are that the duty of care is to provide formal training and instruction for safe operation.

The Gold Card is formal proof of competent training and instruction of operating telehandlers safely. Telehandler attachments include:
